Format: Hardcover
This is an excellent academic reprint. This is one of best and broadest texts I have read on the subject of guerrilla warfare, this book is for the serious student of unconventional and asymmetrical warfare.

In this book little emphasis has been placed on military tactics and operations but instead the social, political and psychological aspects of this type of warfare. This text attests that revolutionary struggles are more than simply armed internal conflicts, but encompass the very essence of the political system.

This text is comprised of various essays and vignettes by over 25 different authorities on guerrilla warfare. The essays in this book were selected partly, in regard to geographical or ideological balance, with the primary selection being on the merits of interpretive quality, conceptual clarity and variety of approach. I listed the main chapters without all the sub-sections as there are just too many to type.

- Preface
- Acknowledgements

Chapter I: Revolutionary Guerrilla Warfare
(1 essay)

Chapter II: Revolution
(5 essay)

Chapter III: Revolutionary Guerrilla Warfare - The Development of Doctrine
(4 essay)

Chapter IV: Modern Revolutionary Guerrilla Warfare in Macro-View - Causes and Contexts
(5 essay)

Chapter V: Modern Revolutionary Guerrilla Warfare - Some Micro-Views
(6 essay)

Chapter VI: Urban Guerrilla Warfare
(2 essay)

Chapter VII: The Problems of the Defenders
(5 essay)

Chapter VIII: Sources for the Study of Revolutionary Guerrilla Warfare
(1 essay)

(Over six hundred pages, with no index)

Overall this is one awesome academic study in guerrilla warfare, not really for the layman with a passing interest but for the serious student of this form of warfare.
