This book is written about John Paul Jones, from his birth in Scotland throughout his life. It is a little long winded in parts, but very interesting with regard to the time at which it seems to take place. John Paul's exploits are detailed from gardener's son, to sailor, to pirate, to revolutionary....I came across a hardcover version at a local book sale and was drawn to the subject matter out of curiosity. Not a bad way to spend a few hours reading!
