If you truly dig great remakes, this is for you...,

This review is from: Rewind 2 (Audio CD)
And a thousand times better than the original compilation, 'Rewind!' Not to take anything away from the first volume, but this delivers better quality songs and great artistic pairings for the concept. Standout tracks are 'Ridin' High' and 'Open Your Eyes,' both by The Platinum Pied Pipers, aka Dwele (be on the lookout for his debut release May 20, 2003 on virgin). Yesterday's New Quintet (madlib, stones throw records) shows up and puts it down, along with everybody's favorite, Terry Callier. If you are a seasoned crate digger for dope records, you'll appreciate this CD. Buy it, it's worth it!
