These historic Rex Allen recordings were made in the 40s. The producers have done a masterful job of digitally restoring them. This is a very fun album! Each song is a joy in itself!
This collection of songs showcases Rex at his cowboy best ... harmonies, sweet solos, and a taste of his "formidable" yodeling. VERY enjoyable! Takes you back to the early B Westerns and imagining yourself on the trail with him. Dreamy looker with a golden voice, all the girls wanted to be WITH Rex, all the guys to BE him!
Rex Allen was an authentic cowboy. He was brought up in Arizona and rode the rodeo circuit, until he got too broke up and joined the radio ciruit. The rest is history ... a lot of it told in the booklet included with this cd.
Great songs! Great stories ... VERY enjoyable! Important addition to any collection!
