sometimes slightly corny, but that just creates a pace. Very happy with purchase and accompanying book. I slowly work on perfecting my spanish listening skills because I want to live in a Spanish speaking country, this has everyday things scattered in with the plot related stuff.

John Grisham creó un buen personaje. Es un tipo sin escrúpulos al que el dinero fácil seduce y cuyo ego se infla de manera impresionante.

Hacia el final, no sabía si quería que le fuera mal o le fuera bien. Me creó un conflicto moral. Creo que le dio un final muy apropiado, lo que cada vez es más raro.

Casi le pongo 4 estrellas, por la desesperación que tenía yo, pero como una montaña rusa, mientras más se sufre, mejor.

The background music completely ruined this audio-book for me. A bit of suspenseful music at a few, key moments might have made the narrative more exciting. But elevator music starting and stopping every minute or so, at a volume that sometimes nearly drowned out the narrator's voice, was incredibly annoying. It's a shame, because the narrator is definitely better than most. To be fair, maybe a native Spanish speaker wouldn't have found it so distracting. Without the music, I would have given it a much higher review.
