5.0 out of 5 stars The Great Larry Adler, November 24, 1999

This review is from: Rhapsody in Blue (Audio CD)
Larry Adler must surely go down as one of the greatest musicians of the twentieth century. It is a shame that he was blacklisted in the USA.

This recording, made in the thirties and fifties, is really excellent for older generations. It evokes the rare combination of sadness and happiness as evidenced in I've Got You Under My Skin and Stormy Weather. He certainly did justice to all the composers.
