I was...less than enthused when I first heard Athens Boys Choir. There's little background music, it's nearly all spokenword, and I'm a spoiled brat, so I wanted music even though I knew it was spokenword. But after about 30 seconds, I was hooked. The way they play with words is halfway between rap and poetry and, though the messages can be harsh at times, it makes you feel inspired to DO SOMETHING in your community, about discrimination in all its forms. In short, YAY! It was good.
