It's a textbook, so it's not going to be as immediately interesting. But some of the chapters are better than others. The essays are not always clear, or interesting, so sometimes I wondered why they were included. Overall, I would prefer not to use this book. The ideas are interesting, and the idea for the book is a good one, but the actual essays are tedious, occasionally confusing, and some of them are so dry.

The cover page is bent and starting to peal off at the side. But other than that, the book is in good condition, readable, and no writings or highlights in the book. The book also arrived on time.

I have to get this book for my Rhetorical Criticism courses at college. Let me be honest with you... it is VERY BORING! If you don't like presidential or political speeches, this book will bore you out! Even if you like the genre, peopel still tell me it's boring. Treat this like any other boring textbook.

Thank you!
