Excellent guide!,

This review is from: Rheumatoid Arthritis: Plan to Win (Hardcover)
I found the read to be very interesting and informative. It's the first book that I've read which describes RA from such a personal and eloquent view. It is filled with vital information and facts. It doesn't concentrate on a medical treatment only - it takes exercise, attitude, and emotional wellness into account. It's an excellent read and I would recommend it to anyone with RA.

I have read and re-read this book from cover to cover several times. It provides refresher information for the RA disease process along the illness continuum. It's a great 'bible' for the disease process and written so a lay-person can understand. Very well written.

The best book for people with rheumatoid arthritis,

I am a rheumatologist in private practice. I see many patients with rheumatoid arthritis.I read Ms. Koehn's book and have recommended it to my patients. In fact, I took the dust cover off and posted it on my waiting room bulletin board with my recommendation to 'buy this book!' It is easy to read but with sufficient detail for the more sophisticated health consumer. It is a great reference source for patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and for family members and care-givers of those with RA. The chapters on medications are particularly useful and well-organized. I like her general advice which is important to all people with chronic diseases, not only RA. Ms. Koehn tells us to be informed and to take charge of our own health care...

from the medical profession and drug companies pushing their drugs with all of their horrible side effects. Just check out the website askapatient.com for results of whatever drug you have been prescribed. In fact most diseases are easily cured for under $100 a month instead of hundreds or thousands of dollars for drugs with ill effects. For instance see Dr Saul's website at doctoryourself.com or his book Fire Your doctor if you actually want to get well. Most diseases are curable with serious doses of vitamins B, C and E including preventing Alzheimer's, diabetes and even MS and ALS. For instance rheumatoid can be cured with as little as 1 tablespoon a day of apple cider vinegar and honey (as proven and published by the late Dr Jarvis in 1958!) Adding a tablet of B100 complex can reduce the symptoms to zero. Your drugs won't! Obviously the more damage you have from listening to your doctors for years will be more difficult; but you better wake up! The doctors and drug companies just want your money!
