David Lee Roth is a brilliant singer/songwriter/actor and more; these five tracks by him are just a tiny sampling of his work! David's fans will probably have most if not all of these songs already so I think this music for download is best geared toward newcomers just getting into David Lee Roth or perhaps a more casual fan. The quality of the sound is excellent and of course you can choose to download all five tracks or just the ones you want.

"California Girls" is a tune I first heard on David's EP called "Crazy from the Heat;" this is a terrific first number to open the track set! The medley of "Just A Gigolo" and "I Ain't Got Nobody" (also from the same EP) is definitely the best I've ever heard; these songs are actually quite old but David breathes new life into them and I really like the way he does that. "Just Like Paradise" from David's 1988 album "Skyscraper" again features David singing at his very best; and "Yankee Rose" from "Eat 'Em and Smile" (or the Spanish version of the album entitled "Sonrisa Salvaje") has awesome guitar work. "Yankee Rose" rocks really well, too. The track set ends with "Stand Up" which also comes from "Skyscraper," this tune has a catchy beat that gets my toes tapping to the beat without my even realizing it!

These five tracks may be a very small selection of David's genius; but they do display his talent nicely. I highly recommend this music--it's some of the best from the `80s!

These five songs are awesome and well worth the cost, which was extremely reasonable. For anyone who loves music from the 80's this is one you have to have!

Would like to have seen a few of his other greta tracks on there. Mainly bought for Yankee Rose and Just Like Paradise

Would have liked to see more songs on this record but understand Rhino is only limited to a few. Of course David Lee Roth didn't have too many big hits.
