5.0 out of 5 stars Rhinoceros Success September 25, 2005
Format:Paperback
I first heard about this book 19 years ago and thought it was stupid and wacky at first. Then the man who told be about it, a jewish guy name Albert that he had a net worth in the 7 figure columns and was recommending Rhinoceros Success to all of his sales people.

I told him that I had read Think & Grow Rich and didn't think any book could top that one. He just told me that this book was different, gave me a copy, told me to read it that night and let me know the next day what I thought.

Rhinceros Success was different. It was no Think & Grow Rich but it did have a very powerful message and one that I needed to hear at that time.

This book is told in storybook form and tells us that in this world we have the cows and the rhinos. The cows graze in the pasture with the other cows, unwilling to take a chance at success, thinking that success only comes to those who are lucky, or that they just aren't cut out to be successful. Many live out their lives in fear; they are the lives of quiet desperation that Emerson talked about.

Then there are the Rhinos. These guys, unlike the cows, take charge. Focused and unafraid, thick skinned and unstoppable, they take massive action toward accomplishing their dreams and goals. They understand that success is there for the taking., if only one brings to bear the right training, mindset and work ethic.

Rhinoceros Success is motivational, educational and funny. It doesn't appear on the surface as a book that can teach you the fundamentals of success, but it does and it can.

When I went back the next day to see Albert, I told him that I really enjoyed the book (in reality I was fired up like never before) and I wanted to buy a copy from him. I recommend this book to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rhinoceros Success---one of the greatest books ever August 22, 2000
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is a must buy for anyone who is 1) feeling down about their life, 2) needs to find a way of getting self-motivated even when times are tough, and 3) everyone else who just wants to realize what there is to be happy about in life when you go after what you want or need. Scott Alexander wrote this book in 1980 and it is STILL a must read. i purchased 10 copies for my whole sales team and made it required reading; they told me that it will make a difference in their lives & thanked me for introducing them to it....THIS BOOK IS AWESOME, TRUST ME.....

5.0 out of 5 stars SEE YOUR WAY THROUGH IT! June 8, 2000
Format:Paperback
This is simply a "must read" for anyone who wants to find their full potential. I have used this book as a management motivator and training resource for several years. Anyone who wants to step up will understand. It is as easy to read as a children's book, but leaves you ready to face the hardest challenges life has to offer. If you have always dreamed of creating your own business, Scott provides a meaningful and effective "lifestyle" to help achieve goals that were once only faint dreams. Make your dreams a reality...become a rhino! I did, and it really works. Buy this book and find out what it is all about, but I must warn you...it could change your life forever. There are many great books on motivation and success. I can assure you, however, that you will want to keep this on your desk and not on a shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who knew success could be fun! November 25, 2012
Format:Paperback
I was looking for something for my brother for his birthday and knew that he would love some books to add to his library. He is always reading something positive and is very success oriented, so I just typed in success. I skipped over titles that seemed too typical. Then I spotted Rhinoceros Success and was so taken with the interior artwork and fun verbiage, I thought it would be perfect. Purchasing this book led me to another book on success called Superhero Success. This too looked like a fun read and was endorsed by Scott Alexander, so I picked that one up too. My brother was thrilled with both. They are now both on my wish list.

4.0 out of 5 stars Charge! January 13, 2005
Format:Paperback
Scott uses the metaphor of being a rhino to make his point that success people attack problems and opportunities. It seemed logical enough to me, most of the successful people I know are take charge type of people, and who do not procrastinate.

The book is easy to read, and some parts are fairly humorous. This is not deep stuff, however. If you've read anything by Zig Ziglar, Anthony Robbins, etc., you've heard these lessons before, only in a diffrenet format. Hats off to Scott, however. Not a bad job for a kid (23 year old).

You may also want to read "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill and "The 17 Principles of Creating Wealth" by Phillip Collinsworth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshingly Simple January 29, 2000
Format:Paperback
This book, and the entire series of Rhino Success books, are delightful. Scott's methods for success simplify the countless other success theories into the basic reality of action. With a spiritual side, he is direct and honest about what it will take to succeed and that it just isn't for everyone. An excellent approach!
