This LED light up bubble gun is so much fun!! So it has been super disappointing each of the 3 times it has broken, in different ways, over the 10 days we've had it. However... the transparent casing turns the broken bubble gun into a fix-it engineering project for my 6- and 8-year olds. We can watch and see what is happening inside the gun, hypothesize about what's going wrong, take the gun apart, and fix it. How cool is that! I am too cheap to buy a new one, and angry when something breaks (We paid $12 for it at Disneyland), so I decided to fix it and give this review on how to. We used a small phillips screwdriver - the type used for eyeglasses, a hot glue gun, and tweezers - plus some extra bits of plastic from any plastic trash - also a rubber band. Fix #1: The pump has a short transparent hose that attaches to each of 2 red nozzles. When the hose & nozzles each get slick w/ bubble solution, the hose will not stay on the nozzles, it slips off. This explains your bubble gun's engine running but not pumping bubble solution soon after you buy it. We took apart the pump, dried all parts, and used a hot glue gun to permanently affix the exterior of the transparent hose to the exterior of each red nozzle. Ta-da! Fix #2: LEDs were not lighting up, motor not running, even with new batteries. We could see the red wire connecting the batteries to the trigger had broken off of the trigger. We had fun touching the wire to the metal plate on the motor and getting the LEDs and motor running - the kids were laughing silly about that, afraid to try it and then loving the power. For lack of a soldering gun, we hot glued the red sheath on the wire to the metal plate of the trigger in such a way that the metal of the wire touched the metal of the trigger.Read more ›

My wife and I are communally owned by three cats. One of them, Sissy, is fascinated by anything we do, and anything can potentially be a toy. She has great fun swatting soap bubbles manually made the old-fashioned way by blowing through the ring of a bubble wand. That is, we blow and she swats; we wear out before she does. So, when we saw a mechanical bubble gun being used by bunch of kids, we thought it just the thing to entertain Sissy without too much expended effort on our part.

The LIGHT UP LED TRANSPARENT BUBBLE GUN arrived ready to fire with a 50mL container of "Bubble Water" and three AA batteries already installed in the gun's grip.

It should be no surprise that the gun and bubble water are manufactured in ... China. For the record, a small sticker on the side of the weapon indicates that it was QC'd at the manufacturing site by "09". 007 was apparently on a secret mission and otherwise occupied.

The gun's housing, as advertised, is completely transparent. The "light-up" feature is accomplished by three LEDs spaced along the long axis of the top of the "barrel" inside the housing; they sequentially flash green, blue and red when the trigger is pulled. At the front tip of the device, also inside the housing, a blue LED at the position of a front sight continually lights-up when the trigger is pulled, as does the ring structure of the bubble generating assembly, which glows green.

Sissy was immediately fascinated as we removed the toy from its packaging; she was ready to party.

After screwing the bottle of Bubble Water into its receptacle at the front of the gun and pulling the trigger, we first thought we had a defective product.

My daughter loves bubbles and so I bought this gun for her. However, the bubble conainer seal needs to be improved as 3/4 of the soap solution had leaked from the container and stained the bubble gun package (not a good first impression). Upon loading the soap canister and running the device, soap solution initially leaked out of the handle (did not happen afterwards). The seller was kind enough to send two free canisters of soap solution in 2 days! The gun shoots light at the bubbles and generates a ton of bubble. Love the gun now ! Just keep it away from your kid as dropping it willl cause the batteries to pop out of the unit (recommend battery compartment lid latch be made a bit tighter). Would recommend (even after the initial experience). Worth the price.

We bought this to entertain our 3 year old. he loves it and plays with it all the time. at one point we refilled it with bubble stuff from our local drug store and the output became considerably less (just a few bubbles). however, once we went back and filled it with bubble stuff from Gazillions (sp?) it worked great. I think it has something to do with the amount of glycerine in the formulation but i could be wrong as this is something i think my dad told me 20 years ago. regardless with the right stuff it is an amazing device, esp for the money.

Although the gun arrived with damaged packaging (one of the bubble bottles leaked through the package and the envelope had to be re-sealed by the post office), I have been impressed with the gun. My 2 year old loves it and now wants to play with it everytime we go outside. I just refill the bottle with solution from the store and it lasts about 1/2 hour per bottle.

I did have to play with it to get it to load the solution into the gun the first time, and once since then I have had to fix it again. I just put my finger where the solution comes out of the top and the tubing gets suction to pull the fluid up.

I would definately but it again or as a gift for someone else. It does produce a lot of bubbles quickly. I've had it about a month without any real issues.
