St. David, or "Dewi", the patron saint of Wales, lived in the 5th century AD, soon after St. Patrick. The earliest "Life" of St. David to come down to us is Rhygyvarch's, reprinted here. Rhygyvarch (1056-1099) wrote it from accounts he found in "many old manuscripts" available to him at St. Davids monastery. This booklet with a hand-printed dustcover, reprints A.W. Wade-Evans' 1923 translation with a new introduction and index. Delightful tales of David "the water-carrier" (he drank it, blessed it, and even walked on it!) and his times. Ideal gift and reference for the student of Welsh and Celtic history.
