I purchased two of these to use with my seniors choir -- a group of 35 singers, average age about 87. I have one of them use it as a woodblock, striking with the small included mallet; and another use it as a guiro, scraping it with the handle of the mallet. It makes quite a lot of noise for such a small item, and the size works well with older adults.

I may get another one or two of these -- they work really well with the repertoire we use, and my seniors love making noise with them

This wood block is excellent and it is such a good price. I love it. Thanks for the great item!

A simple instrument at a reasonable price. While this is not "musician quality," it's perfect if you're putting together a rhythm set for childremn or for a drumming circle.

Fantastic value for the price - good sound and good look, too. Only problem is that the mallet ball is flimsy and kept falling off; I've given it up on it and using a drumstick or cowbell stick instead.
