I bought these for a six-year-old. They are a good starter set and quite sturdy. There is definitely a tone difference between the two drums--they look and sound like real mini bongos! :)

I can't recommend these. Sure they were for a two year old, but I did have an expectation that they'd arrive well constructed and with a bit of real tone difference between the two drums. Not at all. The 'skins' are sort of baked, or shrunk, or chemically dried onto the body of the drums (as opposed to stretched) and one 'skin' is bubbled, warped, and otherwise not flat or tight by any stretch (sorry) of the imagination. There is, on a scale of 1-10, a .5 tone difference between the two drums. I get more tone from different sized upside down plastic cups. The thing doesn't even accomplish a nice bongo sound (or any bongo sound), just a muted thwack. Yes, I'm holding them right. The wooden bridge between the two drums is loose, and can't be tightened in spite of the exposed wing nuts. Bummer. Even my daughter, who's been dying for bongos, was underwhelmed. Avoid these. I think I'll send them back. In fact, I'm changing this 2-star review to one. Can't believe they're charging this price for this product, which would be better valued if it dropped out of a gumball machine.

Our 10 month old son bangs on everything...so naturally we thought he'd like some drums. He enjoys these bongos, but mostly when his dad or I are playing them. They are very well made and durable. Great price too!

My 2 year old daughter LOVES music, especially the drums. I wanted to wait a while before reviewing to see how durable these bongos are and I have to admit that they have surpassed my expectations. For the price I thought she'd get to play with them for a couple months and they'd break, but these little drums have withstood relentless beating with plastic drum sticks for 2 months without a sign of wear.

We bought these for my nephew and he absolutely loves them. He's 14 months old and is more than content to sit and bang on his drums all day. They're very durable and of great quality.

These broke way to fast. I was bummed. But while they worked, my son Loved them.

We bought these for my 2-year old who loves to play drums. She likes them and they aren't crazy enough that I worry about them getting destroyed - she is a two-year-old.

They are study and can take a pounding and they sound pretty good as well. There is definitely a tone difference in the two drums and she enjoys them.

I bought these bongos for my two-year-old, and she loves them. And so do her dad and I. We all have a lot of fun jamming on them, and they're a great stress reliever for adults:)

The quality of the drums is excellent, and it's nice that they're not a toy but a real instrument. That was the biggest selling point for us.

These Bongo drums are perfect for the needs of a 5 year old boy. He loves them. We bought them to see if he had any real interest in the drums. They came in less than a week after ordering.

Received product and it was missing the bottoms and the wood was cracked; I am very Dissatisfied; but it would cost too much to send back. I don't recommend to all my family and friends not to do business with this company. And After several attempts to the vendor and not receiving any response back; I canceled the order and re-ordered from another vendor; upon doing this; this vendor shipped out damaged product to me and of coarse I can not return it due to it would cost more for me then to donate it.
