Another Eurodance act brought down by America!,
By Greg (Bristol, RI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rhythm of Love (Audio CD)
I don't understand why America is so flighty when it comes to dance music. Sometimes, a great song comes out that everyone jumps on, and then the subsequent releases are not played on the radio. Such was the case with DJ Company...their NRG anthem "Rhythm of Love" was a radio hit that went into the Top 100...and then the CD went nowhere and they were dropped from their label (actually, the label went under). Geez, it was Mariah Carey's record label--everything she does go to #1, why didn't DJ Company go! But it is a great flowing album with dance and ballads. Buy it and wish that the group came back!

High-Energy but Not Much Originality,
This review is from: Rhythm of Love (Audio CD)
Perfect dancing music for the summer of 2000 is what this CD is. While it may not be that original, the beats and synthsizer arrangements are sure to make you get up and dance, and January Ordu is one of the more talented singers I have heard in the past few years. The CD opens with a cover of Alphaville's "Forever Young". As good as it is, the better version still goes to Canada's Temperance. "Hey Everybody" is a very rhythmic, piano-based dance track that will definitely make you move. "Rhythm Of Love" is offered here in it's no-rap format, but it's "Mr. Vain"-bassline and sparkling keyboards with Ordu's vocals make this seem different. "Wishing On The Same Star" is the only ballad on the CD, written by song-a-holic Diane Warren, who has written some of the finest songs this decade. "I Can Be Your Lover" is a reggae-pop song, reminiscent of an Ace Of Base song. "Fly Away" is a pure, hi-NRG eurodance track, complete with a rap. "Hold Me Now Forever" is a slightly repetetive dance track, but probably could be remixed into a hot floor-burner. "Can You Feel The Spirit" is a beautifully orchestrated dance track with well placed chord changes. "Number One `97" is a slower song, much like "I Can Be Your Lover", but has a more R&B flavor. "Holiday In The Land Of Love" is another hi-NRG dance track, which has a more active synth-line than "Fly Away", and also includes a rap. For those of you who missed getting this CD when it was readily available in stores, now is your chance to pick it up. Great party music for SUMMER `00!

I really like this album especially the first 3 songs are all equally great and energenic. There are other good songs but you could listen to the first 3 over and over and not get sick .
