DEKE!,
By
This review is from: Rhythm Rhyme & Truth (Audio CD)
If you could own just one Deke Dickerson CD, this one would be a good choice, along with Mr. Entertainment and The Melody, but heck, they're all good. But Rhythm, Rhyme, & Truth is a fine album. A good example of what Deke Dickerson music is all about. I haven't listened to it in over a year, and I still have Hot Rodder's Lament getting stuck in my head from time to time. "They say I own my car, but it's the other way around!"

Deke never disappoints..,

The third CD from Deke and the Eccofonics, and just as usual, Deke rocks. This CD is a bit different sounding than the other two from the Eccofonics, but just as great. "Will you be Mine?" will have you cruising down the highway, singing along at the top of your lungs. If you love Deke, you'll love this CD...I know I do!

WHERE TO AIM,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rhythm Rhyme & Truth (Audio CD)
While, I've certainly appreciated Deke's work on previous releases this one takes the cake.Let's face it, he likes to clown around, make people laugh, but on his latest, he cracks open the basement door a bit.The self-penned tunes, WHERE TO AIM and WHERE I'M GOIN'? show he's more than the merry prankster reving it up on that ol' double necked guitar of his. There's real heart and yearning in these tunes. That's not to say this one's a downer. WANG DANG DULA and HOT RODDER'S LAMENT keep your toes tappin'. And as always, his choice of covers reveal a true knowlege of rock-n-roll in the buff. So what you have here is all the fun of his earlier stuff and a few stunning surprizes as well.Fans won't be disappointed and new comers won't either.

Real Rock and Roll Lives On,
By
This review is from: Rhythm Rhyme & Truth (Audio CD)
If you are a fan of simple straight ahead Rock and Roll, Rockabilly, and Country then this CD is a must have. The album sounds like it came right out of the late 50's early 60's. Deke combines the afore mentioned styles and makes them his own with amazing results. Rhythm Rhyme and Truth will appeal to a broad base of fans from Country to Rock. A well written album with great music. The only thing better than this cd is catching them live.
