Reks comes out with guns blazing on his third official studio album titled "R.hythmatic E.ternal K.ing S.upreme". R.E.K.S. hits you with 16 tracks of straight, raw, contiuous hip hop. - NO FILLER. -The album boasts an impressive lineup of producers and guest spots, kicking off with the hit single, "25th Hour" produced by DJ Premier. The track is 3 verses of pure jaw-dropping lyricism. R.E.K.S. advances along, giving you an hour long album of perfectly selected tracks from each producer. This is an album that instantly sticks in your head. It makes you excited to get in your car and cruise, jammin' out Type: ILL. Reks balances head nodding beats with intelligent rhymes. He manages to be a lyricists' lyricist, while also crafting catchy hooks and verses. I have a feeling this is going to be Reks' breakout album.

Where "Grey Hairs" and "Along Came The Chosen" flawed, R.E.K.S. excels. Although those were both great albums, the beats seemed uninspired at times. This album was clearly scrutinized under microscope to pick and choose the proper beats.

With a few tracks carefully selected to highlight other emcees and singers, the album is not overthrown by guest spots. It is a 'REKS' album, with features including Termanology, Lil Fame of M.O.P., Freeway and Styles P, and various singers contributing choruses throughout.

Mixing and engineering on this album was done particularly well. A solid full sound with thick lows and crisp highs. No overbearing frequency/equalization or compression issues. The album has a rich sound beginning to end and causes no listening fatigue. Great engineering. The editing and arrangement is also done extremely well. The songs are not just a continuous loop. They are arranged in just the right manner to keep the listener intrigued until the end.

Will be one of the best album of 2011 for sure.

Super smooth rapping of reks over piano and awesome boombap beats. Slow, deep, intelligent songs to upbeat fun stuff. Check out his Grey Hairs albums too!
