Thank God for Pandora radio, which is where I first heard these guys as a suggestion to my Birthday Massacre radio station.

To me this is basically a dark synth-pop version of the talented group Garbage.

Tracks 1-4 are among the best, 5 and 6 are the only low spot on the album -but not bad by any means, 7 is an immediate choice track and from 8 to 12 they go from good to phenomenal. Tracks 3, 7 and 12 were my instant favorites.

I first heard "Stripper" on Gossip Girl (yeah, I'm 35 & hooked on that show- such is my lot in life) & was curious. Listened to the snippets on iTunes & thought I'd take a chance, and am I glad. This music, while not earth-shatteringly deep, is spunky, sexy, and makes me feel sassy. "Stripper" is still my fav, but all are definitely worth listening to.

with key songs like, stripper, trash the rental, bang bang, right and right again and so much more! this cd is one of the ultimate sexy cd's i ever owned, perfect for a sexy night, pole dancing, hot date ... YOU NAME IT.
you'd be mad if u wanted to feel sexy and never owned this cd, seriously half this cd is on my "I'm feeling sexy" play list, its really a way to spice your sex life, its just the right music!

Three bands immediately come to mind upon my third spin of this gem; The Birthday Massacre, Snake River Conspiracy and Garbage. All of those bands are spectacular examples of what is possible with modern production techniques focused around the use of computer generated sound. If ever there were a perfect argument against the ever-pervasive "all organic, all analogue" militant production school, this disc by the Soho Dolls is it.

The seamless blending of synthetic elements, including various phenomenal drum samples and sequenced keyboard layers, and organic elements, including sultry vocals by the gorgeous Maya Von Doll and spectacularly complex guitar tones by Toni Haimi / Sailor, are easily the sonic cornerstones of "Ribbed Music for the Numb Generation" to say nothing of that fabulously kitschy title.

HIGHLY recommended for everyone interested in Depeche Mode influenced British brilliance.
