Cute illustrations, but some of the riddles may be too obscure for the targeted age group, December 11, 2011
This review is from: Ribbit Riddles (Puffin Easy-To-Read - Level 3) (Paperback)

You'll find wonderful color illustrations in the book (illustrator is Robert Bender), but some of the riddles might be too obscure for the average six year old to understand. However, that said, they can be a jumping off point for discussions about the answer. One example is: "Which Froggy was a Viking? Answer--"Leap Eriksson." We haven't quite gotten to Viking history yet in our educational repertoire. Other riddles though made my granddaughter laugh--like "What do little frogs like to eat on a hot summer day?--Answer--Hopsicles." For some reason she thought this was the funniest riddle ever and has told it over and over and over....
