To help beginners get started, and to encourage stitchers of all levels to experiment with various techniques, these 30 projects are organized in increasing complexity, from an easy pincushion and needlecase, to an intermediate dressing-table set or picture frame, to a more complex evening ensemble. For added interest, a number of the projects incorporate beads, metallic threads, sequins, or lace in addition to a multitude of ribbons and a variety of background fabrics.
