For someone who has never done transfers, nor tried my hand at ribbon embroidary, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this new craft was going to be. It's a perfect starter book, and she even has a flower for "X" in her ABC alphabet, which is Xeranthemum (Straw Flower). Money well spent for anyone who is looking for instructions on "how to" do ribbon embroidary. I am so glad this was my first book, she made it look easy and fun, and it was!

This book has only a few pages of text/instructions. Transfer designs are simplistic and none are illustrated. No pictures; all in black and white. I did give it two stars because it documents the basic embroidery stitches - although even they are not that clear. IMHO - not worth the shipping and handling.

The book has got beautiful transfers, and so many that you will be busy for a long time. I just don't think it is for beginners.

Great Transfers. Designed for the person who knows a little something about silk ribbon embroidery.

This has to be one of the worse transfer pattern books ever! The patterns are too small, uninspiring, and too much alike!! There is just no creativity to be found here, this book ended up in the trash, it wasn't worth giving to Goodwill.

I was a little dissapointed when I received this book. It does contain a lot of iron-on transfers, but there are no color pictures of any of the designs in the book, which are always good to get those creative juices flowing. The designs in the book are definitely for beginners. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who is at an intermediate or advanced level with silk ribbon embroidery.

I am looking forward to using this book for some of my projects. The transfers should make it very easy. Lots of interesting patterns.

This is a really good book for beginners. Lots of interesting patterns especially if you want to embroider something for your kids.

Although I have not had the opportunity to actually work with the material provided in this book, it is very concise and done in a clear manner. Also, the shipment arrived in a short time period, which I appreciated.
