When I lived in England I used to buy this brand of Blackcurrant juice and enjoyed it very much. I have tried other brands, which were ok, but this was the one I liked best. I came back to North America and have had a hard time finding ANY black currant juice, let alone Ribena brand. This juice is a good value too because it is concentrated, so you only use a little to mix with whatever you are drinking - water, cider, etc - or cooking with it. Value from this shop is great, actually a little less expensive than the other store I found it at in Canada. I was pleased with the shipping too, it was fast and well packaged.

Our local Fresh and Easy market is a british company and they have a lot of imported British items. I enjoy trying them. One of the latest is a bottle of Ribena Blackcurrent Concentrate. I thought it was just an expensive juice when I first bought it, but it was a concentrate to mix with water and that makes it much less expensive. I usually mix it with a slightly carbonated spring water that I keep ice cold in the fridge. Mmmmm. Good. Excellent, as a matter of fact and it's not very high in calories. I might add that my bottle is 600 ml and the bottle listed here is a liter, but otherwise it's the same exact product.

I had never hear of Blackcurrant until I was watching Foodnetwork channel. There was a show (can't remember the new) that introduced "one inch punch". This sounded good and I wanted to try it. Well, it wasn't easy because nobody carried blackcurrant juice. I was happy to find blackcurrant juice on Amazon.com. I made the punch as soon as I received my package of this juice. IT WAS YUMMY!!! One inch punch consists of: equal parts pineapple juice and blackcurrant juice, a dash of coconut milk and honey. The show said to add mint leaves but I leave it out. You serve it over ice.......like I said "YUMMY"

I come from London and just love this stuff!! Always crave it when I'm away. Found it hard to find any blackcurrant juice in north America, so was excited to find it here! Very yummy. Bottle was plastic so it was very good for transportation. Just excellent. A lot higher price than in London, but worth every penny to me, especially as its concentrated.

Try a shot or two in Guiness, or in seltzer! This item did arrive from the supplier quickly, and while a bit expensive, a little goes a long way...

Ribena is a classic product - so hard to purchase here in the US, so I was glad to find it on Amazon. I like mine mixed with water or mineral water and a few drops of lemon juice. Delicious!

I became addicted to this while visiting England. Was buying it in large quantities from World's Market but they ran out and didn't seem interested in getting more.

To the reviewer who said "sickenly sweet" this is a CONCENTRATE. It must be diluted. In England it is sold already diluted. In the US you do it in a 1 part concentrate to 3-4 parts water depending on your taste.

But it has that sweet, slighlty tart flavor I crave and I now have it on subscription. :-)

It was advertised as a black currant concentrate but when it arrived the bottle ingredients list it as 22 percent juice, also containing fructose syrup (from wheat and maize) no concentrate even mentioned on the bottles.
The product also had coloring and preservatives added to it.
True black currant concentrate has many health benefits, but this Ribena is no health food.
