that is the way this CD was made. It's great, all the songs in it are so good, soul and heart put together on paper. Arjona, thanks for a great CD.

"Vivo" is a recopillation of all Arjona's greatest hits. With a rocky history beggining with utter disapproval by society, to a sweet taste of understanding and a bit of glory, Arjona manages to carry each song to the deepest ends of all latins' hearts. For those who don't understand him, he is just another attempt of rebellion, but to the rest of us he is a mentor in his field. This CD is recommended to all fans or newcomers, it is a masterpiece of love, it is strong.....it is contreversial. Viva Guatemala!

I am a norweigan girl born in the United States. Until recently english was the only language I knew. For the past year I have been working in a restaurant where English is not the only language spoken. Most people I worked with would get frustrated because they could not understand Spanish and therefore could not communicate their requests. I analysed the situation and found these results agrivating and almost sad...why was the line so thickly drawn? So, I decided that I would try my best with what little Spanish I knew with hope for understanding. I arrived at my normal hour and instead of saying hello...I said "Hola', como estas? Me llamo Caitlyn, y tu'?" and instead of a remark on my accent or choice of words...they were incredibly warm and impressed that I had been so bold. We became well aquainted, I taught them English and they taught me Spanish. I fell so in love with the language, work was a field trip. One of my friends introduced me to Ricardo Arjona. I borrowed the cd and played it over and over and over trying to learn all the words and then trying to understand them. I made a tape and took it back to work. When they played it I sang all the words and even though half the time I had no idea what I was saying I could still feel the passion in every word he spoke. Thankyou for showing me how big this world is Ricardo. I hope someday I can see you en vivo!

Arjona is a true poet. His carreer has had heavy downfalls and a taste of glory, and "Vivo" summarizes the work of a lifetime. Those who believe his music to be pointless simply don't understand it's meaning. He is the voice of a society, his words our blood and history, a connection with our roots. He is not just another singer, he is a teacher, a mentor, an archetipal hero of success.Viva Guatemala!

I bought this cd from Ricard Arjona like 3 years ago and I like every single song. He did a concert in 98 or 99 and decided to record a live cd like La Ley. This was my first cd from Ricardo Arjona and its not A dissapointment. Great cd. Every song is wonderful! Have A great year! Thank you for reading my review. I hope it was very helpful so you can make a choice to bye the cd or not.

I've always enjoyed a songwriter who can tell a story, refer to Harry Chapin, for example. Arjona can do it and send the message home smoothly. He is deep and palatable. Not a native spanish speaker, my husband is Colombian, I can now speak and understand the language quite fluently. There is much beauty in the music being written and/or performed in South America today. Kudos to the people of the United States who are bringing us this music (understandably making a good penny on it) and an especially warm thank you to Ricardo Arjona and the other musicians who continue to reach many people in their merging of many cultures.

Ricardo Arjona and his production "vivo" Shows to the entire world that he's talented as a singer and composer. This production shows that he has grown in the musical aspect , and belive me that make all the Guatemalans very proud of him!

I was 16 when i first heard this CD. I am Nicaraguen so in my family speaking spanish is the norm but i couldn't stand speaking it.I found it difficult and truthfully stupid when i live in the US. This Cd made me appreciate how beautiful the spanish language can be. You want tO hear touching heartfelt music? listen to this. and REALLY LISTEN. The words and instrumentals are AMAZING!

Este Cd me deja con la voca abierta. Aunce es dificile para mi escribir y ablar el espanol lo entiendo perfectamente y este Cd me toca el corazon. Es un artista increible Y espero poder comprar mas de sus Cds.

Este disco es un resumen de lo que mejor sabe hacer Arjona: Tratar de tomar pose. Lo malo es que no la toma bien, no se le ve antural si uno se fija bien, pero de lejos y por encimita da el gatazo. En este concierto toma pose de artista consagrado, de esos clasicos que tiene tantas conciones en su repertorio que tiene que cantar tres en una cancion para poder cantar las mas posibles, sin desepcionar a la mayoria. Tambien tira frases poeticas con pensamientos profundos que son refritos de frases de otros personas originales que lo dijeron en privado sin buscar que las mujeres enloquecieran al oirlo. Arjona no termina de definir su personalidad y termina siendo un Frankenstein muy bien vestido y que solo quien seconoce los brazos y piernas de sus dueños origiales se puede dar cuenta.

...de este 'especie' de artista, que lo único que hace es ganar plata a costa de gente que no quiere desarrollar un buen gusto por la música.
