5.0 out of 5 stars garment bag
The bag is well designed and made of quality materials. The two interior pockets are useful to separate soiled clothing and the large outer pocket allows one to pack a few items. It would work well for a short trip where you just needed to have a suit and essentials for a day or two. It packs as a single or double fold for placement in the overhead bins on plane. I like...

I purchased this bag for my husband. He goes to the gym every morning, and used to carry his dress pants and shirt on a clothes hanger. I wanted to get him a light weight easy to stuff in a locker bag that would protect his clothes, and not look like a bum carrying his closes on a clothes hanger.

This bag has worked out perfectly. He has thanked me on multiple occasions and he uses it every day! As a fashion forward dude it fits his stylish young look, and is quality made.

I travel every week and this bag is the best for storing clothes, shoes, and accessories. I like the fact that it keeps everything neat and is easy to carry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Garment Bag - Worth the Price, December 22, 2010

I like a sturdy garment bag that you can throw shirts and slacks on hangers into and go. This fills that bill. Material is sturdy and won't tear. Cheaper bags I purchased from Amazon were too flimsy. This a carry on bag. I would not check this type of bag in luggage on any airline.

I purchased this to take to the hospital with my daughter. It is roomy enough for a few outfits and other essentials, but lightweight enough for me to carry. I really like this!

4.0 out of 5 stars Heavy duty nylon garment carrier, December 28, 2011

This is a neat product (with many accessory pockets(3)) and looks professional. I use it to carry one outfit (dress shirt, dress pants, tie, under shirt/boxers and socks). I don't think it would fit a suit jacket as it is not wide enough.

The exterior is a heavy duty rain coat type material with rigid panels to help keep its shape.

It is not totally closed from the elements, the sides remain open when folded in half. When laid open the accessory pockets can be accessed as well as the garment itself.

For best results of transporting garments, a hanger should be used and the hanger is secured inside of the bag by a nylon strap with a plastic synch buckle.

For travel, the garment bag is intended to be folded in half. Both ends of the bag have handles. When folded in half one end of the garment sides under a nice rigid flap and the handles meet at the top. One ad shows it fitted, in half, into luggage and I could see it doing that well.

This bag is not intended to be hung without the use of another hanger or on a hook.

This bag seemed like a simple, lightweight, and reasonably priced solution to traveling with the free store garment bags I often used to ferry suits to interviews and such...

Those free store bags aren't really meant for travel, and often tear or lose a zipper in transit. Unfortunately, that was exactly my experience with this Ricardo bag. Even before I had packed it, the interior stitching was already ripping at the seams. I was willing to look past that flaw in my new bag, though, assuming that I could just re-stitch it myself later. One day into my trip however, one of the interior pouch zippers also came off. The combination of flaws seemed a bit too much for a brand new bag with good Amazon reviews.

I might also comment that the interior mesh pockets on this bag are see-through, so that when the bag is fully extended/not folded, the contents of those pockets (like your underwear) are visible and exposed.

Lastly, it's worth noting that there is no built in way to keep the bag in it's folded state. Meaning there is not external zipper, velcro, or clasps to help you keep the bag closed while you're carrying it by the handles. Again, not a big deal, but I think it would be a useful addition to this bag.

2.0 out of 5 stars Returned, January 2, 2012

I returned this item, the quality was not what I was looking for, I guess garment carriers are going the way of the dinosaur as you rarely see them at the airport, perhaps that is why the selection is so small

This garment bag needs a zipper. It is not possible to set the bag down without it totally unfolding. Frustrating.

Looks nice but it does not zip on the sides, which makes it very inconvenient to carry. Would not have bought it had I realized that prior to purchase.
