After over a million miles and 10 or 12 years of lugging around my Ricardo Beverly Hills Holiday 21" carry-on the wheels finally gave out and I had to get a new bag. Those of you who travel a lot (45+ weeks a year for me) know that being comfortable and used to your bag is almost as important as having the right bag. In my case I think I achieved both of those with my previous bag so getting a new one was quite a traumatic experience for me. I purchased and returned no fewer than 6 bags before I finally found the Ricardo Big Sur. This bag looks to be a newer version of my Holiday bag. It has two compartments, something I have gotten very used to. It also has the main compartment opening the same size as the bag, not smaller like many of today's wheelaboards have. Internally it has lots of usable space and enough pockets.

I'm giving it a 4 star only because I don't like the briefcase strap (I don't know what it's really called). The biggest issue with it is that it doesn't attach to the frame, instead it attaches to the top side of the bag so that when you attach a heavy briefcase (like my backpack) it puts a lot of strain on the fabric and I'm certain that after some use it will fail....so I don't use it.

Otherwise it's a great bag and if it gives me the same useful life as my previous Ricardo Beverly Hills bag I'll come back and give it 10 stars.

I liked everything about this suitcase. I did a lot of comparing for carry-on luggage and found this one had the best (at least I thought) compartments and dividers for the size.
I also looked at having the option to purchase other items in the same collection. I didn't want to spend money on something that wasn't going to match the rest of my luggage, but maybe that's just me being picky.
