5.0 out of 5 stars Light and Spacious
I am leery of purchasing items like luggage online, but I had seen this exact strolley at a local store so I was familiar with it already. This strolley has most of everything I was looking for - lightweight, wheels smoothly, fits snugly into the overhead bin of a 737 and high quality nylon fabric. 3.0 out of 5 stars light, stylish, tough, but VERY poor wheels
I bought this suitcase almost a year ago... I travel probably 40 out of the 52 weeks a year.

The wheels are now wobbly and very loud - obviously the bearings are gone.

I'm now sitting here trying to figure out IF I can replace the bearings... the bolts that hold the wheels just spin in their place...

Bottom line - I wouldn't buy...

I am leery of purchasing items like luggage online, but I had seen this exact strolley at a local store so I was familiar with it already. This strolley has most of everything I was looking for - lightweight, wheels smoothly, fits snugly into the overhead bin of a 737 and high quality nylon fabric. Some things I don't care about - dual zippable compartments. Things I don't like - Cannot remove suit straps, foam edges may start to deteriorate quickly. The included TSA compliant toiletry bag is a nice little extra but I prefer using ziploc bags instead.

In all, a good product. Nothing much to complain about.

5.0 out of 5 stars A purchase I'm very happy with, October 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I found the quality to be very much worth the price. Lots of places to store and stuff things, light-weight but sturdy, very attractive (my wife is jealous),the wheels are big enough make rolling over rough surfaces easier, and the handle is long enough. I'd buy it again if I needed to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Suitcase, October 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this during a long-term travel engagement.
It successfully stood up to months of travel, unwanted gate-checks, rainy days and city streets.

I had no problems fitting it into any overheads I encountered (except for the ERJ-145, which doesn't fit anything!)

This thing is built extremely well and has a nice look & feel.

If you're in the market for a carry-on roller board, this is a great pick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality and stylish carry-on (Color: Charcoal), September 10, 2010

This review is from: Ricardo Beverly Hills Hillcrest 21-inch Two Compartment Carry-On (Apparel)
I got this bag as a carry on for domestic US as well as long-haul flights; so far I've used it with US Airways and Lufthansa, and have had no troubles getting it on board all 4 flights. The bag dimensions are actually slightly outside the dimension requirements for some airlines, but barely so. It fits snugly in the overhead compartment for US Airways (A320), and fits Lufthansa overhead compartments (B747) in a longitudinal layout only.
The dimensions (h x w x d) are:
Normal (Including wheels and handle): 23" x 15" x 10.5"
Minimum (Excluding wheels/handle, slightly squashed): 21.5" x 15" x 8.4"

Weight: Slightly more than 8 pounds which makes it almost in line with most other carry-on's, but you can save a couple of pounds with other smaller bags, probably without sacrificing much space either, weight is not an issue though for most airlines. Lufthansa did have a restriction for carry-on's (17 lbs), but they don't usually check their weight.

Build Quality is excellent and leaves little to be desired, the wheels were perfect and I expect this bag to meet its life-span expectations for most travelers (I've only had it for less than a month).

Design is stylish, with good use of materials, I got the Charcoal color (seems to be no longer available).

The bag comes with lots of compartments, and with the option of dividing the main compartment in two using an extra sink-down zipper compartment.
In all it has 4 zipper compartments, in addition to internal bags and pockets. And has an optional zipper lock that can be attached.

I bought this bag as an addition to my large suitcase or to use on its own for short trips. I used the bag as a carry-on on my last trip. It fits perfectly in the overhead bins on jets and it is easy to lift because of the multiple handles. It is also surprisingly light. I was impressed with the organization of the bag and how much space there is. I haven't used the bag long enough to have an opinion on how well the bag will hold up. It seems well constructed and the wheels and handle seem to be high quality.

I bought four pieces from this set, as I do a lot of traveling and a lot of different types of traveling. My oldest Ricardo suitcase is about 10 yrs old and has perhaps 300,000 miles on it--it has held up very well but the airlines do take a beating on the luggage over time and it was time for a new suitcase. This set looks sleek, the zippes are strong and robust, it feels like there's some good waterproofing on the exterior, the wheels roll well, and the handle extends nicely. They also come with a laundry bag, a 3-1-1 ziplock bag, and plenty of pockets for organizing. I feel for the price these are a great value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Purchase, July 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ricardo Beverly Hills Hillcrest 21-inch Two Compartment Carry-On (Apparel)
This (Ricardo Beverly Hills Hillcrest 21-inch black/charcoal) was my first major luggage purchase- I had vaguely recalled borrowing this brand of luggage from my sister many years ago and the garment section stayed in my memory. So when I was getting ready for a weekend trip/ destination wedding,\ and I needed to make sure my luggage arrived at the same destination as myself, this carry-on size was perfect and I had no worries about being separated from my wedding attire.
Also, each flight I boarded was packed but this piece fit in anywhere! It has handles on all sides and is extremely light weight and easy to maneuver.

I strongly recommend this luggage. I have further invested in more pieces from this company and have even given one as a gift (which I received great thanks from :)
No regrets, met all the airline/airport restrictions.
