This book explores the tradition of the swordswoman in the far East, cultures more widely known for their subservient feminine roles.

Wonderful tales about Asia -- a peek into other cultures. I especially appreciate the insights into women's lives and their roles throughout the history of China and Japan. So different than the West. Reading about Asia and travel to these parts of the world are the only bridges we have between the West and the East.
