Purchased this while buying the Wolfgang Puck rice cooker. The rice cooker is the single button cook/warm type with a lid that snaps closed and has a seal. The recipes are for that type of cooker so I don't know how it would work for fuzzy logic types. The recipes are easy to fix and the ingredients are easily found. I only wish it had more recipes in it. It does cover a variety of foods and tastes, including desserts. I like the fact that although limited, the more general approach to the recipes can be used as inspiration to create your own. Recipes include rice dishes (risotto too), bean dishes, stew beef, pasta meals, soups, dessert, etc.. There is even a chicken fettuccine recipe that uses frozen chicken.

Overly simple recipes calling for mostly canned ingredients. Wolfgang raved about these recipes on HSN, but after trying a few, I find it hard to believe he would ever eat anything prepared from this book. Having said that, if you like using canned foods and cake mixes, you'll enjoy these recipes.

We've had this rice cooker and the accompanying book for 6 months now. The book is really great. Delicious recipes. We've made a ton of the shrimp recipes - our college kids fight over the leftovers. Buy it.

Rice Cooker Creations With Debra Murray, I have this book for over three years, I got it from HSN along with the Rice Cooker, When I saw it here I was so happy, I made many of the recipes and my favorite is the "Beer Braised Baby Back Ribs" I had no idea you could be able to make ribs in a Rice Cooker with minimal cleaning and just in about an hour with a bottle of dark beer and other ingredients, it is so good that I always make ribs this way now, no more oven for me, specially in the Summer.

This recipe I like it so much I have given it to everyone I know and everybody loves it. The "Pasta Primavera" and "Pasta Fagioli" I make often and like them a lot, The "Chicken Cacciatore" is another good one. The Book has many other wonderful recipes such "Sweet and Sour Pork" I really like, and the Baked Ziti, so simple yet so good. You can even make a wonderful "Paella" just in the Rice Cooker, I also made "Pina Colada Rice Pudding" and the "Simply Fabulous Milk Chocolate Fudge"

Not everything I liked, I did not care for "Cherry Fudge Cake" for some reason it just was a little over done, maybe my fault, I think I will leave the Cakes for my oven. The Rice Cooker Creations Book, makes the best rice, I almost forgot about that, Rice Jambalaya, Sushi Rice, Green Rice, Fiesta Rice, Red Beans and Rice. With this Book, I learned to eat Brown Rice, I hated it before, however the way Debra Murray makes it, is very good

I even make the old Fashioned Steel Cut Oats and I never ate Oats for breakfast before I got this Book. I own many Cooking Books and Rice Cooking Creations is one I had used the most, believe it or not, it's full of notes, I tried about 90 percent of the recipes, unlike any other Book, maybe because most of them are so simple, with just few ingredients in the Rice Cooker you have an entire good balance meal, with minimal effort and cleaning. I could go on and on, ...you can tell I love this Book! Thank You

Great book to help new users of rice cookers really take advantage of this appliance. The recipes in this book were made with the Wolfgang Puck 7 cup rice cooker in mind but the recipes can be adjusted to suit other sizes.

I've made several recipes in this book; Risoto with Asparagus, Mac & Cheese, Pasta Primavera, Carnitas, and more. They have all been fast, easy and absolutely delicious. I had no idea how versatile a rice cooker was and how quick the food cooks. It is almost a pressure cooker type of appliance without the concern and far easier to operate. I made the Carnitas last night and thoroughly enjoyed the result. Served in Romaine lettuce leaves with sour cream, cheese, and cilantro. Yummmm!

Admittedly, I thought my mom was nuts when she bought me a rice cooker for my Birthday two years ago. Really...how often does she think I make rice? Previously...rarely, and if so it was the instant kind. Now I keep both Jasmine and Basmati (my favorites) on hand at all times. We were leaving for vacation when I received the gift, and had not looked at the cookbook until we returned more than a week later. The rice cooker suddenly made sense! I had no idea that you could make anything more than rice and steamed vegetables in it! I love this cookbook and return to it again and again. The recipes are REAL food that REAL people with busy families would make (and actually eat) for their daily meals. It's sort of like a slow cooker in that, for many recipes, you put in the ingredients and walk away with minimal fussing, except that you don't have to plan so far in advance. Most recipes are very quick to prepare, and to cook. My favorite has to be the mac & cheese. When I'm at a loss for a side dish, this is the one I turn to. It's so quick and easy, and made with ingredients I always have on hand (I now use milk instead of cream and it comes out just fine). I'm ready for a new edition with another round of recipes!

The cook book is great respies are good you know thay will come out great every time you use them. It is fun and easy to have.

The recipes look interesting. I had no idea one could cook steel cut oats in a rice cooker in 20min. That alone would make the book worth the price of admission since cooking those on top of stove involves 30 min. and much stirring. But - and this is a big BUT the author assumes you have the Wolfgang Pluck Rice cooker. There are very few tips and tricks for using the recipes with another brand or style. Telling me to push the "on"button does not do me much good since I have one of the Japanese "fuzzy logic" models which has multiple buttons.

I guess I'll have to experiment on my own.
