Most gluten free crackers have dairy in them, which over half of people who cannot eat gluten cannot eat. The others are very expensive. After more than a year of being gluten free this is the first store bought cracker I have bought. I was surprised at how good they were! I make most things from scratch, but it's nice to have something to keep in the car or at work. All of my co-workers (not gluten free) who have tried them have liked them.

Price note: as of today Amazon is selling these for more than $6 a box. Wal-Mart sells them for $2.50 a box. I've not been able to find them in any other stores. I was hoping to avoid Wal-Mart but I'm not paying more than double.

Please allow me to preface my review of the actual product by saying the price on these currently through this vendor on Amazon is outrageous at over $6 a box. I did not purchase them online I buy them at my local large Mart for less than half of that. I hope a vendor here can find a way to be more reasonable on the price and I would order them in a heartbeat. That being said .......

I REALLY like these crackers and I must respectfully disagree totally with the previous review. They have a nice texture for being mostly rice ( still very crispy/crunchy though ) and a slight nutty taste. Perfect saltiness combined with the lightly peppered flavor. Most salt and pepper crackers or chips have a somewhat flat note with the flavor but these really have nice bright finish on the palette made possible by the tiny bit of citric acid in the seasoning. I usually eat them with a little cheese and some sliced mild peperoncini peppers.

I will agree with the previous review that they do require a napkin handy. Although I think that is true of almost any chip and most flavored crackers so I don't know why that would be a surprise.

I suggest putting the crackers in a ziplock type bag after being opened , they do go stale fast at least here in the damp northwest. Although I like them so much they don't have much of chance to stick around and go bad ;-)

If you are looking for a gluten free cracker choice to bring to a party this would be it. I don't think anyone would even know they are gluten free. The salt and pepper taste works well with any type of topping and the brown rice base gives it the crisp we all crave. It is one of my favorites at 120 cal for 13 crackers that is amazing. I really appreciate mainstream companies coming out with reasonably priced gluten free options. I found these on sale 3 for $6 and I had a $2 coupon off 3 so I paid $1.35 per box. Looking forward to sharing this new product with others.

Nobody's gluten-intolerant around our household, we just like rice crackers for the crisp crunch. I'm not sure I would classify these as any kind of "healthy" snack---they have the same amount of calories as a bag of chips, for example---but I guess you are getting some whole grain in since these are made from brown rice.

This salt-and-pepper variety has a very snappy taste that might not suit everyone. I don't like to eat them plain out of the box for that reason, but they are pretty good as a crunchy cracker underneath a piece of sharp cheddar or some hummus. I haven't yet tried other flavors but plan to, since I do enjoy the texture of this cracker. Also note: the thickness of this product I think helped them remain "whole" in the box, which is a big bonus since many brands of rice cracker seem to be prone to breaking into pieces.

I have severe wheat and gluten allergies. I bought these rice thins because the label said "GLUTEN FREE" and I had no problem with the Nabisco white rice thins.
When I ate the Nabisco Seat Salt & Pepper Rice Thins, my stomach blew up and I had stomach pains all night. When I reviewed the label I saw "MALTO DEXTRIN" listed. My dietician told me that malto dextrin can be derived from wheat. I haven't contacted Nabisco but I assume their malto dextrin contains wheat. I had not problem with the white rice thins that don't list malto dextrin on their label.

On my way to checkout at Walmart today, I decided I wanted some salt-free chips to snack on. I could not find the potato chip aisle. But I did find these gluten-free crackers. Checked out the sodium, cholesterol and fat levels which ranged from 0 to very low. Brought them home and started munching. While there are a couple of ingredients I could do without, nevertheless, these crackers are absolutely, surprisingly delicious!

I love this product and feel it has all the flavor I could hope for in a cracker. Of course, it does NOT have MSG as suggested by one post. That would be listed on the ingredients. It is traditional for salt to be on the outside of this type of food so you can taste it as soon as it is in your mouth. If the salt was inside as post suggested it would need more salt!
