I was pleasantly surpised at how well made this board game is. The pieces are durable and the manufacturers included their own ziplocks to store the pieces. Our family of four (two girls, ages 2 and 5) have played this together (we help the kids) and each time we open the box we're guaranteed about an hour of family fun. The book and audio cd are repetitive if you've read Kiyosaki's stuff, but are a nice refresher course. The feel of the game is similar to Monopoly, with a more relevant slant.
My young children were able to get the gist of the game after one playing, and my eldest (5) is starting to ask if the things we buy are "necessary" or are "doodads"---something I wish I questioned earlier in life!
The game is labeled ages 6 and up. I'd agree with that age-frame, unless you are willing to talk the kids through it.

Fun learning tool for the whole family!, July 31, 2007

My daughter and I enjoyed playing this game, and it gave me opportunities to explain some financial lessons to her that I hadn't thought of explaining. I would recommend that if your child is over 10 years old, that you probably just go ahead and invest in the adult version, as this one is a bit simple... My nearly 12 year old daughter had the ideas down pat within just a few times through.

Excellent Learning Tool, February 8, 2008

This is an excellent way to teach children about earning passive income, minimizing expenses - and ultimately achieving financial freedom. The game is easy to learn and nicely made. My child thinks it's a lot of fun, especially as the adults sink deeper and deeper into debt buying luxuries on credit. My only beef with the game is that it implies that a home based business produces passive income - which is not typical.
