We purchased Sparky (now named Claudio el conejo) wanting to get a natural rubber teether toy for our 8 month old daughter. We initially wanted to get Sophie Giraffe for her but after reading the reviews and some parents' concern about the legs being a choking hazard we went in search of an alternative. I found these by Rich Frog, they also make a goose and a piggy. I figured the ears would work for the back gums as well as Sophie's legs would without being too long. When I ordered it I couldn't find a single review on them out there. I was concerned that they could be too squeaky like I read the other Vulli toys could be. But when it got here it actually doesn't squeak at all or barely. It blows air out but not much whistle at all. I don't know if that is how it's supposed to be but to me it was actually a big plus! My daughter loves it she likes to bite at his whole head. He looks and feels a little more "rough" than the Sophie giraffe. He is super soft rubber but he has more texture to the material not silky smooth and you can see the bumpy seams of the rubber around I think the texture is a plus too! He is overall super cute and a great alternative to Sophie giraffe if you're looking for that.
