Excellent as usual,

I think the person who posted the first review of this must have clicked the wrong # of stars by mistake. A great written review and then 2 stars?
Let me reassure you that this is not a 2 star effort. Randle has made another great album. He is so talented, one of my favorite songwriters. And the music is stellar. Pick up this cd, if you like Randle you will love this CD.

Never Mind Someday - Rich Already,

Buying a new Randall Bramblett CD is like buying a great looking pair of shoes. You know you're going to love them, but when you first wear them they feel stiff and unfamiliar. When they're finally broken in, you fall in love with them and want to wear them to bed! I had just gotten over my love affair with Thin Places when Randall released Rich Someday. At first it felt kind of stiff and unfamiliar. Now, I take it to bed with me.
What you will hear on this CD is an artist at the height of his creative powers; a man whose artistry still astounds me after thirty plus years of listening to him. Actually, there are two artists working at their peak on this CD. The other is Davis Causey, Randall's longtime songwriting partner and lead guitar supremo. Whether he's blasting out a blues-laden solo, or strumming growling licks in the background, Davis just goes on getting better. Both Randall and Davis have the ability to match simplicity with profundity. My favorite example of this is on Stupid Shoes, a great analogy for getting screwed up when you should just be enjoying life - "Stupid shoes on my feet - They won't tell me life is sweet - They go down the twisted street - And I follow." Whether or not you are familiar with Randall's work, buy this CD. Be patient and give yourself plenty of time to break it in. When you do, you may not want to take it to bed with you, but I guarantee you won't want to stop playing it.

Randall Bramblett continues his string of excellent CD releases from "See Through Me," "No More Mr. Lucky" & "Thin Places" to "Rich Someday." Two of the tracks are my very favorites. "Beautiful Blur" has dueling electric guitars with Davis Causey & Mike Hines lashing out from the left and right speakers like a den of snake tongues darting in a lethal dance with Bramblett's vocals layered over the top of this rich rock bed, "Now I run out of ways to fill you up & I run out of ways to self destruct, the further I go the less I want to see; It's a hard rain coming down on me." "Queen of England" is propelled by jet fuel with Bramblett's sax sassing like a spice in the arrangement, "I had a dream; it don't make no sense; I saw my Savior tangled up in a barbed wire fence." Other tracks on the CD are also strong like the excellent opener "Where Are You Tonight," the organ drenched "Somebody Like Me," & the rocker "Oil Spot." This is another strong offering not to be missed. Enjoy!

Amazing,

This album is smart and has a real, unpretentious intensity. The lyrics are resonant and smart, and the songs get better and better every time you listen to them. This is definitely the best of the recent albums- I like the pared down sound and the rough-around-the-edges recording style. Get it!

Most Underrated Songwriter in US delivers pure magic,
By
This review is from: Rich Someday (Audio CD)
Randall is without a doubt America's most underrated singer-songwriter. According to my humble opinion he's right up there with people like John Hiatt and James Tayor. And he's a respected multi-instrumentalist as well...playing with Sea Level from '77 till '80, Widespread Panic and Steve Winwood among others. But most important the man writes pure magic!!! Great lyrics (thoughtfull, at times spiritual words....food for the soul), great melodic songs that you keep singin' over and over again when you've heard them, great musicianship and his voice is a real treat too. All of his releases on New West Records: No More Mr. Lucky, Thin Places and Rich Someday are highly, highly recommended. People, give Randall Bramblett a chance, you won't regret it for a sec...

I've known of Randall Bramblett for 20+ years now. This latest effort is affirmation that like fine wine, age intensifies the quality. "Rich Someday" pops! Randall and the guys are truely a southern treasure. My wife and I saw them last night at the Savannah Music festival. DO NOT miss a chance to see them live.

What another great album from Randall and the guys. Got this a couple weeks ago and haven't taken it out yet. At first listen there are definitely different things on this album than the others. The sound is a bit more raw and pure than on the other albums. I had read that this album had a different approach than his others and quite frankly I was worried. But after my first listen I quickly realized that it still had the same awsome songs and songwriting that's always present on Randalls albums. The soul and passion of Randall and his band never wans...it just gets better and better. Everything you liked about any of the other albums is right here on this one. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up. You won't be sorry. UPDATE!!! I did mark the wrong number of stars.. THIS IS A 5 STAR CD>>>NO DOUBT>>>Please forgive me for the typo.
