About the Author
Susan Latremoille is a wealth management and investment professional with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. She believes her role as a financial advisor is to help her clients achieve peace-of-mind about their financial and personal lives, find the perfect equilibrium between risk and return, growth and income, worry and confidence. She knows that this balance is different for each individual, and that is why candid relationships and trust form the basis of her practice. Investment advice, portfolio management, retirement planning, estate planning, insurance planning, tax planning, and establishment of appropriate corporate structures are among the services that allow Susan to adopt a comprehensive approach to the management of her clients' financial assets. Nothing gives her greater pleasure than helping her clients use their wealth to create full and fulfilling lives. Since 2004, she has been a Wealth Advisor at Richardson Partners Financial Limited, where she is a First Vice President and a member of the Richardson Financial Group Limited Board of Directors. She is a fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute; she achieved the Portfolio Manager designation in 2001; she holds a Level II insurance licence, and she was recognized for excellence among investment advisors in 1999 when she received the Investment Dealers Association of Canada's Award of Distinction for Ontario. Susan earned her MBA from the Canadian School of Management and her BA from the University of Toronto. As a philanthropist, Susan is A Leading Woman with the United Way; a member of the Canadian Women's Foundation 100; a past board member of the Children's Aid Society Foundation of Metropolitan Toronto; and a former Sick Kids Legacy Advisor. She contributes to the community through her volunteer and financial support of the various charitable organizations.

...those are core ideas to Susan Latremoille's thoughtful look at wealth and purpose, and how the two factors interact in our lives. Rather than the book you would expect from a highly successful financial planner ("Invest here." "Don't invest here." "Never spend your money on X, Y, or Z..."), Latremoille encourages her readers to see money and wealth as the tools they actually are for helping us to create powerful, positive, and purposeful lives. Her writing is simple, straightforward, heartwarming, and encouraging. By the end of the book we understand that the real legacy of our lives is valued by more than just the money we leave behind.
