About the Author

Richard Bean was born in East Hull in 1956 and has worked in a bread factory, and as a psychologist, model and stand-up comedian. His play, The God Botherers was mounted at Synapse Theatre in New York in 2004, and Harvest opened at the Royal Court Theatre in September 2005 (nominated for the 2005 Evening Standard Award for Best Play and Best Play in the 2006 Olivier Awards, winner of the 2006 Critics' Circle Award for Best Play).
