Book Description

October 6, 2005
The Yorkists have emerged victorious from the civil wars and Edward IV wears the English crown. Edward's brother, Richard, harbors his own kingly ambitions and will stop at nothing to achieve the throne. Manipulative and entirely amoral, the hero-villain Richard is one of Shakespeare's greatest roles. Performed by David Troughton, Philip Voss, and the Arkangel cast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great listening, April 23, 2008
This review is from: Richard III (Arkangel Shakespeare) (Audio CD)
It's remarkable how writing which can seem dry and dead on the printed page can come alive in the voice of a professional actor. That's certainly the case with this play. I never liked "Richard III" in reading it; it was only when I heard this stellar performance that I really appreciated it as great drama.
