This work traces Meier's career, including: the collaborative projects with painter, Frank Stella; the 1981 exhibition organized by the Architectural League; the Bronx Development Centre (1970-77); Frankfurt Museum for the Decorative Arts (1979-84); The Royal Dutch Paper Mills (1987-92); Hague City Hall (1986-1995); Canal and HQ (Paris, 1988-92) and the Getty Centre in Los Angeles (due for completion in 1996).

Kenneth Frampton is an internationally respected architecture historian and critic who holds the Ware Professorship in Architecture at Columbia University, New York. He lectures extensively in the U.S. and Europe, and has also written, edited, and contributed to numerous publications on contemporary architecture. He is the author of the now-classic book Modern Architecture: A Critical History, and of Studies in Tectonic Culture.
