About the Author

Kenneth Frampton is an internationally respected architecture historian and critic who holds the Ware Professorship in Architecture at Columbia University, New York. He lectures extensively in the U.S. and Europe, and has also written, edited, and contributed to numerous publications on contemporary architecture. He is the author of the now-classic book Modern Architecture: A Critical History, and of Studies in Tectonic Culture. His most recent book, Labour, Work and Architecture, was published by Phaidon Press in 2001. Author's Residence: New York, NY --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.
