Alexa is such a beautiful flutist and RRB is a wonderful composer for her. Her sound is amazing. I go out of my way to hear her live, but when I can't catch her recitals, there are so many great recordings she has released.
Her new CD is coming out soon. Watch out for it!!

The music on this CD is wonderful. As a flautist myself it is possible to appreciate the magnificance of the music and the masterful performance given here. The true magic of the music comes in the counterpoint which is the trademark of Bennett's music. The flowing melodies of the first two movements of the summer music are answered superbly with the upbeat and cheeky third, with the flute and piano vying with each other for the tune while answering each other at the same time. A real treat to listen to.

Somehow, my review of Alexa's brilliant Bennett disc only showed two of the five intended stars. So here is another opportunity to say buy this as well as the other delightful recordings by one of today's most interesting and imaginative flautists.
