My son loves busytown and this video. There are three good stories on this tape - all nonviolent, demonstrating good values, and telling interesting stories. There is a short saftey video "Stop, Look and Listen!" - about crossing the street (the tune is catchy). The characters are sweet. The families and neighbors are nice, good people. If only all busytowns were really like this!

This an excellent, charming, low-key video. Kids LOVE seeing the Richard Scarry characters move. I think it is more about the beauty and simplicity of the designs than anything else...I mean, these certainly aren't particularly memorable characters.

Another plus: it doesn't club kids over the heads with messages.

If only it were out on DVD.
