5.0 out of 5 stars Fun book, December 23, 2008

This review is from: Richard Scarry's Father Cat's Christmas Tree (Look-Look) (Paperback)
My toddler loves this book and pretty much all of the other books he has by this author. Parents might enjoy it more because it has history about various characters, so it's not too terrible to have to read it 5 times in a row. This one is also somewhat calmer in terms of detail, so it's interesting without being overstimulating.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great illustrations but the story is too long for young readers, October 25, 2010

Richard Scarry can be relied on for his great illustrations, but this story is too long for young readers. (To admit the truth, I find this story too long to sit through myself because it's not as engaging as it could be.)

We loved Richard Scarry's books when my son (now 29) was a little guy, so it was the first person we thought of when getting books for my grandnephew age 2. So much going on that you can find new things in the pictures every time you read them.
