This book is really lots of fun to read and learn for children and I hope Zoe will one day remember it as fondly as I do.

It introduces many letters and other learning concepts, and is a great way to get children excited for school.

My three children, who are now grown with children of their own, loved this book. They delighted in pointing out things that they recognized and never tired of reading it. We still have books from when they were small, but this one fell apart from constant use. I've been looking for this book now for my grandchildren to enjoy. Richard Scarry books should never be out of publication.

I recently purchased this book for my daughter Zoe. Paging through the colorfully illustrated pages I was immediatly trasported back in time to my own childhood in the seventies, and remembered just how much of a favourite this book was to me when I had it as child. This book is really lots of fun to read and learn for children and I hope Zoe will one day remember it as fondly as I do.

It is so much fun to read books to your children that you loved as a child and to see them get as much entertainment out of as you did and the greatest part is you still enjoy it.

My kids are fascinated with this book and I love the nostalgia of lowly worm. Every time you read it there are new things to see. We received it as a gift and have since purchased it as a gift for others.

This book has been in print for quite some time and with good reason. It's the very best book for a child before starting school, and he'll read it 'till he wears the covers off. Over the years, I've purchased copies of this book for pre-schoolers who now have children of their own, and was delighted to put copies in the hands of their toddlers. Great illustrations provide endless discovery! Richard Scarry's Great Big Schoolhouse is absolute perfection!

No child should be without this book.

This book is so detailed and extremely large (probably close to 100 pages, in total). It introduces many letters and other learning concepts, and is a great way to get children excited for school. I would highly recommend it to any Richard Scarry-lover.

I wish that Golden books would put Scarry's fine works on Publish on Demand, then they would see that we love all of his works, not just the recent ones. I am busy trying to repair my 1970 copy of this book so that my children can enjoy it as much as I did.
