wonderful new music, August 5, 2009

this cd is a great collection of wernick's work. you'll hear guitar like you've never heard it before (think derek bailey, but with written notes). and the horn quintet (a rare combination) is energetic and wonderful. the music here is atonal but not devoid of feeling and form. i would highly recommend this (and all of wernick's work) to fans of new classical music.
