With one simple touch, however, the gate door swings open for both inward and outward access, allowing people to pass through without having to remove the entire unit. The pet gate fits doorway or hallway openings from about 28 to 36 inches wide--simply turn a knob to secure the unit in place. Adjustable end slats ensure a perfect fit, while a rubber skid bottom and four rubber side stoppers protect the floor and walls from scratches. Made of polished wood and metal, the adjustable gate is attractive enough to be a permanent fixture in the home. The one-touch pet gate measures 2 by 28-2/7 to 35-4/5 by 34-3/5 inches.

Overall this is a very nice gate. It looks great, is well built, and is easy to install. And while I like the look of the wood portion of the gate, it unfortunately is a bad idea for puppies or dogs of any age that like to chew or are determined to get out. Within three weeks my 4 month old Beagle had chewed and broke his way through it. So I had to replace it with a gate made solely of metal.

I ordered this gate and just received it today. I cannot begin to say how much I love it. It was simple to install and it is very solid.
I have two chihuahuas, one of which is a climber so I needed a gate that she couldn't climb. The problem I found with most gates is that the bars are too far apart so she could either squeeze through or get her little head stuck. This gate is perfect because the bars are very close together.
I have already recommended this gate to several people and will continue to do so!!

My husband and I bought 2 of these gates for our new puppy and I love them!! I relish not having to take down a gate or try to step over them (which isn't fun for someone short ;). And this gate is stylish (is that possible? ;). I would recommend this gate to anyone. Yes, it's pricey (I had my doubts), but after a couple of weeks, I love it!!!! Buy it! You can't go wrong!
