I've been a long-time fan (#2 fan) of Rick's band, the Starving Artists, and I'm very happy Rick put this solo record out!

Rick has done it again -- so pull up an ice block and lend an ear!,

This review is from: Rick Goldschmidt Sings (Audio CD)
Renaissance man Rick Goldschmidt -- author, artist, entertainer, composer, dessert topping, floor wax -- never ceases to amaze, especially in this remarkable album of eclectic songs about that move effortlessly from feel good rock and roll to treatises on the human condition. Like a true artist confident in his capabilities, he brings out the best in all the people he works with as well. Please click on Rick's name to see just how talented and versatile he is. You won't be disappointed.

This review is from: Rick Goldschmidt Sings (Audio CD)
We were lucky enough that Rick's band surprised me when they played at my 50th birthday party, under threat of storm clouds and an inebriated neighbor.Having heard Rick's chops live both there and at local venues, the difference between the live shows and the studio is remarkable. Having invested a couple of years in back-and-forth recording and working with his pals, Rick's arrangements are skillfully mixed and the often-recognizable riffs evoke memories of Beatles and Byrds while remaining as fresh as anything today. So, this Rankin-Bass'er lets you listen to what he does in his spare time, and it sure ain't bad. Toss it on the car's CD player and take a long weekend drive...
