5.0 out of 5 stars softer than your average towel
Wow this towel is large, and absorbs really well for a travel towel, dries quickly and is surprizingly compact for it's large size! I'm very happy with this product.

3.0 out of 5 stars Towel for specific uses
This towel is lightweight, very absorbent, dries quickly and packs into a small space. On the downside it is very thin (although certainly sturdy enough) and because of its design has a slick feel to it that becomes worse when it is wet from drying yourself. Feels like you're drying with wax paper. Not to be confused with the feel of a Turkish towel but for specific...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great travel towel!, August 4, 2008
By
I took this puppy to New Zealand with me and it is a great little travel towel. It certainly isn't the same as a big, plush bathroom towel but when you are traveling, space is key. The towel unfolds to a nice, big size, dries quickly, and is easily refolded into its travel case. The fabric kind of sticks to you but like I said, big luxurious towels aren't an option when you are packing light so this thing is a great investment whether for showering, picnics, a day at the beach...etc.

I needed a quick-drying towel for trips to the beach while vacationing overseas. This towel worked great---I would rinse it out at night, hang it up and by morning it would be completely dry. It comes in a small pouch with a snap loop so you can hook it onto your backpack. My kids work as lifeguards--they use the towels at work because they're light and dry so quickly. I have been pleased with any Rick Steeves item I've purchased.

5.0 out of 5 stars good investment, June 26, 2007

My husband wasn't pleased I spent money on a TOWEL but after our trip he's a believer. It packs down so nicely (priceless when buying too many souveniers), super absorbant (think shami for your body), dries quickly, but most importantly doesn't get stink after normal use like most towels do.

I love shoving this towel in my gym bag and I'm off! Very absorbent and quite large. Just make sure it dried thoroughly before the next use or it will get mildew.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Size Towel and Great in Packing, September 5, 2009

This Towel is a good purchase, the pros are it's quite a suitable size for someone my size (6,4 and 230 lbs.), I can wrap it easily around my waste with more to go, and it's also great when you want to save space in your luggage. The cons are it's not the best I've seen or tried when it comes to the feature of water absorption, quite leathery but it's fine, I'll live with that. overall, it's a good purchase for sure.
