This album is difficult to find, and according to Rick Wakeman's website is not likely to be rereleased anytime soon. Fast shipping and was worth the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rick Wakeman's 1977 Criminal Record Is Anything, But Criminal!, June 25, 2010
This review is from: Rick Wakeman's Criminal Record (Audio CD)
It may not have the noterity of The Six Wives Of Henry Eighth, Journey To The Centre Of The Earth or King Arthur etc, however this is my favourite of Rick's albums.
The keyboard playing is as ever suberb without lapsing into bombastic eccentricity.
Except for The Breathalyser, which is not in keeping with the highest standards of the remainder, it's very difficult to choose the best tracks, although Statue Of Justice and Birdman Of Alcatraz are wonderful and finally Judas Iscariot is a masterfully evocative statement about the disciple who betrayed his Lord.
If you like Rick, try to hear this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not great, but good, December 26, 2008

This isn't my favorite Wakeman album, but it is good. If you already have his better works, like "The Six Wives of Henry the Eighth" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth," you might want to consider this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost his very best, July 17, 2005

This was a good time for Rick. In the midst of the "Going For The One" sessions, back with Chris and Alan, getting his hands on a massive church organ... he was in a very good mood.

In it's own way it was the opposing bookend to 'Six Wives' and compositionally it is better constructed, but I can't take "The Breathalyser" as a serious component of anotherwise seamless listening experience.

For this track I deduct half a star.

The other half is for Ricks overuse of his new toy - the thin sounding Polymoog.

It was responsible for the harpooned whale solo on Tormato.

It was good for that.
