5.0 out of 5 stars The Rollers' Abbey Road
First of all, I agree completely with G. Gentry's review. I would only add to this Rollers love fest that Ricochet is the second greatest example of how to end a recording career. The only better example would be the Beatles' Abbey Road. Technically, Let It Be came out after Abbey road, however, the releases were out-of-sequence. Abbey Road was recorded last, and at...

Abbey Road was recorded last, and at the time, The Beatles thought that it would probably be their final statement.

The Bay City Rollers are perhaps the Most Underrated Rock Band of All Time, though Evan & Jaron are right up there. The Rollers' repertoire included pop, power-pop, ballads, R&B, hard rock, the occasional old-fashioned dance hall tune, and yes - even a touch of country! When they had gone as far as they could, stylistically, with Les McKeown, the band pulled a Van Halen move by switching him out with the more hard rocking Duncan Faure. Faure sang most of the leads on the Rollers' last three albums (from 1979 through 1981). And it is those three albums that represent the creative apex of the group's career. Ricochet, no less than the other two.

If you like the straight-ahead rock of the era - if you groove to Boston, The Knack, and the "Who Are You" era Who - this album will be a welcome addition to your collection.

This was the last BCR LP to feature Lead singer Duncan Faure. If only this LP had been released in America and the rest of the world in 1981,BCR might still be making records & touring today.A must have for any BCR fan or any music fan.AMAZING!!!
