When I lost my little Ricoh one month ago, I was devastated - and settled to buy the exact same camera again, because I liked it so much. Ricoh is one of the first digital cameras I used that will catch the moving animal, car or kid without a blurr due to the first-rate quickly adjusting autofocus. The 10MB show even the hair on the butterfly's head and the zoom-in makro program is unbelievably amazing. Furthermore, the metal body gives it more protection than some of these skimpy plastic bodies. I am one of those who dislike reading the handbook, which comes with it. I did not have to look up a lot of things, as this camera can be used easily with learning by doing, although the booklet - really a rather thickly little book of more that 200 pages - is written in quite correct English and was provided in even correct German for my first camera. An index at the close of the book lets you find any kind of stuff you are looking for directly and the respective chapters contain cross-references to related subjects. This I only mention, because lately any kind of technical gimmicks come with user-instructions in such bad English (or German). Will take good care so that I won't loose this camera again!
