Product Description

Keep mice, rats and other pests out of your home with the superior technology of Rid Rite Advanced Electronic Pest Control Systems. Rid Rite pest control sytems emit an ever changing pattern of ultrasonic frequencies to help control pests and keep them out of your living space. The advanced technology has built-in daytime and nighttime control. Built-in output control provides enhanced performance at night when pests are most active. The built-in light sensor automatically controls the enhanced output so you don't have to. It's easy to use just plug into any wall outlet. Each unit has Perimeter ControlTM which projects signals into the main areas as well as along the walls and baseboards where pests travel. The variable soundwave pattern prevents pests from adapting to one signal. The indicator light glows blue when the unit is active. Rid Rite Electronic Pest Control Systems provide year-round protection without the use of harmful chemicals or traps. Each system is pet and children safe. Pests hear the sound, you and your pets don't.

Still had same bugs even after using for weeks.

The product may be effective, but sham reviewing undermines confidence in opinions expressed here.

I don't know if these work or not, but I can hear the annoying buzzing sounds that they make.

I inherited a house with a terrible mouse problem; no matter how much I cleaned, soon after, I would find evidence of mice. I saw mice daily. It was terrible. I used various traps, they didn't make a noticeable difference; I did not want to set out poison (pets, kids, generally not liking the idea of poison...). My mom bought me a three pack of these, and I figured I would try them--a few days later, no mice. I don't see them, I don't find droppings. It has been a few months now, they still work. Another thing, I started using them in the late fall--I didn't think anything would get rid of them once it was cold out. I plan to buy another pack, to cover the rest of the house. Sure, the sound is a little annoying, but I have found places where I don't really hear it. I probably won't be putting one in my bedroom, but the rest of the house is fine by me. Oh, about the noise, I noticed it does have two settings, one is quieter--if you are in a room with one, you can put it on the quiet-setting.

I have to say that I almost didn't buy this product. But something I read made me change my mind, and I am glad I did.
I believe that the negative reviews are because people buy 1 unit and expect it to work over night. The mice / rodents didn't show up over night. And you need to make the visitors unhappy. Clean where they have been seen or droppings or have been seen. I never saw the mice just evidence that they had been there.
I bought 4 units and spread them out over the house 2 upper level 2 lower level.
I have had them in for about 6 days and there have been no sightings or droppings, and I've been checking all my rooms making sure they just didn't "move".
And my dogs are not effected by units at all.
I would say the hardest thing is trying to find the best placement for the unit. I placed mine : 1 in the garage and the other 3 against the walls where evidence of the mice were spotted.

I just got the RidRite product so I can't comment on the effectiveness. However, I can say they that even though the packaging says that they are silent, they are not. Each one emits a slight buzzing noise that I can hear from about 5 feet away. There is also blue flashing light on the bottom of them and if they are working correctly, the light flashes so putting one in the bedroom is out of the question. It seems that maybe they could have made the light flash as a notification that they are not working correctly. It doesn't matter because the buzzing is irritating so I will be returning them.

We bought a box of these and installed them in our home. In over 40 years of living in this house, we've never really had a pest problem except for an occasional wood spider, squirrel or a mouse or two.

After turning these things on, we started experiencing "critter" noises within our walls about a week later. We figured it might be a mouse and set out a couple of regular mouse traps. All the traps were snapped closed the following day but no mice. So we tried again with the same result. Over the next couple days, the noises got loader and more pronounced. I set to investigating and discovered some burrowing around the house foundation and after checking the cellar, discovered the tunnels were entering into the basement! These critters were not only smart, but also appeared to be unaffected by the Rid Rite electronic pest control devices. After some serious effort it was final discovered that we were infested with rats! (they were to big to be caught in a standard mouse trap). We ended up resorting to poison and eliminated the entire problem within a couple days.

My take on this is that these devices were actually calling these vermin in...and if that isn't the case, I can assure you that they didn't deter the rats from entering our home. What a nightmare....

Glen is absolutely correct! This sort of packing the ballot boxes is shameful. The product may be effective, but sham reviewing undermines confidence in opinions expressed here.

If you are buying this for the basement or somewhere you don't go too often, then give it a try if you want to. I don't know if these work or not, but I can hear the annoying buzzing sounds that they make. Not very practical for bathroom and kitchen.
