5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, reliable media
I've run through about 30 Ridata dual-layer DVDs thus far almost without untoward incident (the one exception being due, I suspect, to an operator error). I make no extravagant claims about the breadth of my sample, but the observed price:performance ratio has left me favorably impressed to date.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stick With Verbatim
This is my second purchase of the Ridata double layer DVD package. In the first package, four of twenty-five were duds. In the second package, six of twenty-one (four still remaining) had to be thrown away. My fault? Unlikely since I had virtually no problems with Verbatim disks. Considering that about one in four Ridata disks had to be discarded, Verbatim disks are a...

I read a lot of negative reviews about Ridata DVD+R DL on various websites. But after a lot of hesitation, I finally purchased the 25 DVD spindle. I have burned almost all the DVDs perfectly on my LG GSA-4167B DVD Burner and none of them have been a coaster! I am really impressed with the quality of these DVDs. They are also cheap and dont cost you a fortune!

I've tried several brands of double layer DVDs. These are better than most and the price is reasonable. I've had little problems with these disks. I have run across the occasional bad disk, but rarely. Verbatim is the best, but Verbatim is also a lot more expensive.

1.0 out of 5 stars 100% failure, August 2, 2010
This review is from: Ridata Double Layer DVD+R 2.4X in 25 piece cakebox (Silver Matte) (Electronics)
I have tried these on 3 different computers. I have not yet found one on which they will work. Mine say 4X, so maybe they are not identical.

4.0 out of 5 stars Software is important, July 17, 2010

These are good dvds as long as you use the right software. Don't use DVD Shrink to burn dual layer. DVD Shrink is excellent on single layer but not for dual. I used 1clickcopy and the dvd came out great. I probably should give it 5 stars but 5 is supposed to be for perfection but what product can honestly say they are perfect. I do recommend these dvds. Cheap price and very good quality. If your first burn doesn't come out right then please try a different software because software is much more important than the dvd burner you use and even your media for the most part but I understand some media you can not do anything with but tinker around with different types of software before pitching your dvds in the garbage. You'll be amazed the difference the right software can do for your dvd burning. Media code is RitekD01

1.0 out of 5 stars Stick with Verbatim #2, December 17, 2009

I bought these before the one-star review titled "Stick with Verbatim" had been posted, but I've had a similar experience. When you copy something onto a DVD, you don't want to find out 6 months later that the data was lost. I've had even worse luck than the 1 in 4 of the previous rater. And I have also had much better experiences with Verbatim.
